Article summary

The Cross Identity admin can set up MFA settings at the application or authentication level. End users are prompted to verify their credentials with factors when logging into CI and when accessing an application if both levels are enabled. Below are the various MFA options available for the user using the CI Mobile App.

  • SMS OTP

  • Email OTP

  • Security Questions

  • Soft Token

  • Passwordless MFA (CIVerifID)

Soft Token

When a user clicks Soft Token, a user must provide the 6-digit code generated in the TOTP Authenticator App to validate.

Email OTP

When a user proceeds with Email OTP, the user must provide the OTP received on their registered email address.

SMS OTP

When a user proceeds with SMS OTP, the user must provide the OTP received on their registered mobile number.

Security Questions

The user must provide the Security Question’s responses as registered.
