Cross Identity's Solution

Passwords can be entirely replaced through the application of various technologies. For secure authentication, certain methods as email magic links incorporate an encoded OTP token or an active link within a protected email. Alternatively, technologies like WebAuthn rely on public-private key cryptography. 

Cross Identity offers two solutions for passwordless authentication:

1.  CIVerifID Mobile App: This is an in-house developed mobile app for users to enable passwordless authentication, enhancing the security of app accounts. The users must register their devices to the CI Universal Directory using the CIVerifID app.
2. Web Authn: WebAuthn is a browser-based API that enables web applications to leverage registered 

   devices (phones, laptops, etc.) as factors to simplify and secure user authentication. Cross Identity Password Authentication utilizes the FIDO2 protocol. To shield consumers from sophisticated phishing assaults, it employs public key cryptography
