The Cross Identity Windows Credential Provider is a tool to improve the logon security of your Windows desktop. It is used to add a second factor authentication, when logging into your Windows system.
The Cross Identity Windows Credential Provider does this by communicating with the Cross Identity Authentication system. The Cross Identity Authentication System can manage many different kind of second factors for the domain users, which includes, SMS OTP, Email OTP, Security Questions and Soft Token.
Users need to authenticate with their windows password and additionally with their token as the second factor.
